Hey guys! The following is a bit of a situation report about my first few weeks on this blog, and what the next week has in store…
So, I’ve been writing on this blog for about 10 days now, and I’m loving it. I’m completely new to blogging. Never blogged before in my life. “Blogging” was just one of those crazy, new-fangled words really. This may sound like an advert, but WordPress was the best platform to choose, I think. I’m just going to leave it at that- as I say, I’m not trying to sell you car insurance here!
So far, I haven’t had much of a schedule. And, to be honest, I don’t ever plan on having one. Schedules are for organised people. Hopefully, anyone who reads these blogs has got the idea that I like quotes (something to pass the time on a blank day, but thought-provoking nonetheless-hopefully!), books and films. And writing. Yeah, so it’s quite broad! But I plan on continuing all of this, but make the content more diverse. I have loads of ideas, and not a great deal of time, so please bear with! Bear with. Bear with… (sorry, that’s annoying).
I’m pleasantly surprised about the amount of followers I’ve accumulated in just 10 days. 5 may not seem a lot at first glance, but I was still surprised that people would take time out of their day to read what I’ve got to say. Thanks to all those pioneers out there, and stick with me, there’s better stuff to come I promise!
I forget to put this in my individual posts, but don’t be afraid to comment! The thing with books and writing is that you can never find many people to discuss it with, so if you have a question or a point to add, or just your own opinion, I’d love to hear it!
Anyway, enough of my rambling…
What’s in store in the next week?
Just a note: “in the next week” may be a little optimistic. As I say, I don’t have a whole load of time, but in an ideal world- this is what is coming up! You’ll be seeing it soon, anyway.
The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug Review
I know I said I’d get this done in the week, but I didn’t have time. Hopefully this will be out tomorrow.
Sherlock Series 3
I just finished watching the 3rd series of the excellent Sherlock last night, so I’m going to share my opinion on it, and about the show in general!
The Impossible Review
That is, a review of the 2012 film The Impossible, which is based around a family who are caught up in the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami. This should be out in the next few days.
I’ll continue posting out the odd quote every day or so, just so there’s always something to read and think about during my absent days.
Thanks for reading this- I’ll probably post one of these ‘Situation Reports’ every week or so on this blog so all my readers (however small a number it may be!) will know what to expect soon on The Inky Pages.
For now, goodbye!
Have any criticism to make, or ideas for new stuff? I’m open to suggestions, so please go ahead!
